Queridos amigos deportistas,
Es un placer y un honor para mí poder dar la bienvenida a todos nuestros miembros y simpatizantes a este CAMPEONATO DEL MUNDO aquí en Alicante. También me gustaría agradecer a nuestro anfitrión el Sr. Juan Pinilla y su equipo, nuestros representantes en España, que han trabajado duro para preparar este torneo.
Es interesante ver cómo este Campeonato del Mundo se acerca cada vez más y, por tanto, es con gran satisfacion que la sede de los campeonatos del mundo esten aquí en Alicante España un país maravilloso y encantador.
Como muchas de las naciones del mundo se reúnen con sus equipos nacionales en Alicante, para desafiar a sus compañeros bajo la bandera del deporte para convertirse en el mejor de los mejores, no podemos sino reflexionar sobre hasta qué punto la ISKA ha progresado en los 5 continentes. Esto se debe a la incansable labor y el esfuerzo que ha realizado por sus integrantes en el día a día. El resultado final es este que usted ve aquí ante ustedes hoy.
El deporte no tiene barreras raciales, sociales o políticas, lo que significa que es la manera perfecta para todos los hombres y mujeres, niños y niñas para lograr resultados asombrosos, sin distinción de raza, credo o color. La oportunidad de representar a su país en nombre del deporte a nivel internacional es probablemente uno de los mayores logros de un individuo puede hacer. La presión que los competidores tienen en este nivel es enorme, y va mucho más allá de lo normal la resistencia física. Para ganar, sobre todo en un nivel tan alto, los competidores tendrán que aprovechar los recursos internos de que sus años de formación les han preparado.
Espero que la ISKA puede seguir adelante con la determinación de la zancada y una actitud positiva a fin de mantenernos en el centro del escenario para las artes marciales. Sólo podemos estar al día con la ayuda de nuestros representantes y los miembros como a vosotros mismos, para lo cual se lo agradezco.
Espero verlos a todos ustedes el próximo año para el Campeonato de Europa de 2011 en Wels, Austria, septiembre 26 a octubre 2.

Dear friends in sport,
It’s a pleasure and an honour for me to be able to welcome all of our members and supporters to this World champion ship here in Alicante. I would also like to thank our host Mr. Juan Pinilla and his team, our representatives in Spain, who have worked hard in preparing this tournament.
It is interesting to see how the World is getting ever more closer and therefore, it is pleasing to see the World championships here in this wonderful and charming country.
As many of the nations of the World gather together with their national teams in Alicante, to challenge their peers under the banner of sport to become the best of the best, we can only reflect on how far the ISKA has progressed on all 5 continents. This is due to the tireless work and effort that has been put in by it’s members on a day to day basis. The end result being this that you see here before you today.
Sport has no racial , social or political barriers, which means that it is the perfect way for all men and women , boys and girls to achieve amazing results, regardless of race, creed or colour. The opportunity to represent one’s country in the name of sport at an international level is probably one of the greatest achievements an individual can make. The pressure that the competitors have at this level is enormous, and goes far beyond normal physical endurance. To win, especially at such a high level, competitors will have to tap into inner resources that their years of training will have prepared them for.
I hope that the ISKA can continue to stride forwards with determination and a positive attitude in order to keep ourselves at the centre of the stage for martial arts. We can only stay on top with the help of our representatives and members such as yourselves, for which I thank you.
Hope to see all of you next Year again for the European Championship 2011 in Wels, Austria, September 26th- October 2nd.
